Dagger Heartland is an TTRPG Actual Play podcast where the world is shaped by four characters who have no clue what they are doing. We are very local, very fun, and very absurd. Featuring a cast of regular people who just want to have fun.

(he/him)
Game Master
Judson is the greatest game master who has ever existed and definitely did not write this description.

(they/them)
Tully Bun
Jae identifies as chaotic, and is an incredibly talented artist. They love wrecking the GM's plans.

(he/him)
Markus Drae
Justin is a hockey player with actual stats that you can find online. Seriously. Also, he loves to build stories with his friends.

(he/him)
Harley Haverin
Samuel is a long-time TTRPG player who has written an entire campaign that takes place on a train. Cool.

(he/him)
La'rel Bennis
Sawyer was supposed to be the calming presence, but decided that was boring. He loves nothing more than a good, well-established pun.

Warrior - Call of the Brave
La'rel is a miniature Giant who is searching for the answer to what killed his family. He is an RHMP officer and has a moose companion Quinzy.

Brawler - Juggernaut
Tully is a drug-dealing Thumper who has very few scruples. He is just a little guy who is trying to find the family he lost.

Seraph - Winged Sentinel
Markus is a refugee Aetheris who fled from Yorkton. He is seeking out other Seraph's, many who have been captured or killed.

Wizard - School of Knowledge
Harley is a pig farmer turned wizard who disappointed his family. He found his new family and is trying to find his purpose.

GM is a mysterious god who seems to control story and tone. No one has seen him, but many swear that they have heard his voice on the wind.

We find ourselves in Merica, a continent on the brink of conflict. Just five years after the War of 1218, five nations find themselves wrapped up in alliances and rivalries, and one wrong move threatens to topple everything. Spies have been captured at an alarming rate, while closed-door meetings and secret luncheons make it clear that the power still sits at the top.
Our players are citizens of Heartland, located in the center of this vast continent. They'll be caught up in the conflict between the nations, while also trying to keep the peace in their own backyard. Only the bravest and more cunning of heroes can bring peace back to the land, which is unfortunate because our heroes are neither of those things.
Our campaign takes inspiration from the Five Banners Burning campaign frame in the Daggerheart Core Rulebook, published by Darrington Press. It also takes inspiration from a number of great actual-play groups, such as NaddPod, Small Town D&D, Sitcom D&D, Dodoborne, Worlds Beyond Number, Dungeons and Daddies, and more.
